Babylist carries a wide selection of nursery furniture from trusted brands. While many items ship via standard delivery, larger or heavier pieces are shipped by freight carrier to make sure they arrive safely.
You’ll know an item ships freight by checking the shipping details in the product specifications before purchasing.

When Placing Your Order
A few important things to know before checkout:
- Extra processing time: Furniture that ships directly from the manufacturer may take longer to process than standard items.
- Shipping surcharge: Freight orders include a non-refundable furniture shipping surcharge.
- Where we ship: Freight delivery is available to the contiguous 48 U.S. states only (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories). We don’t ship freight internationally.
- Phone number required: A valid phone number is required at checkout so the freight carrier can schedule delivery.
- If a phone number isn’t provided, a Babylist Support specialist will reach out by email.
- If we don’t hear back within a couple days, the order will be canceled.
(Yes, we really do need that phone number. Freight carriers insist.)
What to Expect After Your Order is Placed
Once your order is on the move:
- Delivery timing: Freight delivery typically takes three to four weeks from the shipping date (this is an estimate—some orders arrive sooner).
- Shipping details: When your order ships, a Babylist Support specialist will email you with:
- The freight carrier’s name
- Tracking information
- The carrier’s customer support contact
- What to expect during delivery
- Scheduling delivery: The freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once they’re close to your area.
- An adult will need to be home to sign for delivery.
- Inspect on arrival: Please inspect your item(s) carefully as soon as they arrive.
If There’s an Issue with Your Order
If your order arrives damaged, defective, missing parts, or incorrect, we’ve got you.
Reply directly to the email titled “Heads up about your Babylist delivery” and include:
- A brief description of the issue
- Photo or video of the product(s)
- Photo of the shipping box
- Your Babylist Shop order number
- Your name and shipping address
Once we review your request, a team member will follow up with next steps.
Returning Your Order
To request a return for any reason, reply to the “Heads up about your Babylist delivery” email and include:
- Reason for the return
- Photo or video of the product(s)
- Photo of the shipping box
- Your Babylist Shop order number
A Few Things to Know:
- Freight orders follow our standard return policy.
- Furniture can’t be returned via standard ground shipping—it must be returned by freight (at no cost to you).
- Return requests must be made within 14 days of delivery. Requests submitted after that window will be denied.
