Your shower details don't appear publicly on your registry and aren't searchable. People can access your shower through the invitation link you share.
What's not shown on your registry?
Your shower date, time, and location don't appear on your registry page. Someone browsing or shopping from your registry won't see when or where your shower is happening.
Your registry shipping address is also separate from your shower location and isn't displayed on your shower page.
If you enter your home address as the shower location, that address will appear on the shower page for anyone who has the link.
Who can open your shower page?
Anyone with your shower link can open the page and RSVP.
Your shower link isn't publicly listed or indexed by search engines. People generally reach the shower page by receiving the link from you or someone else who has it.
If someone forwards your shower link, the person who receives it can also open your shower and RSVP.
What can guests see?
People with your shower link can see:
- Your shower date, time, and location.
- Your note to guests and invitation design.
- A link to your registry.
- Their own RSVP and party size.
What can't guests see?
Guests can't see:
- Your guest list.
- Who else has RSVP'd.
- How many people are attending.
- Other guests' contact information.
- Other guests' notes to the host.
RSVP counts and guest details are available only to people with shower host access.
What happens after someone RSVPs?
After someone RSVPs, a link to the shower can appear in the header of your registry when that person returns.
The link lets that guest return to the shower details or change their RSVP. It's specific to that person on that device and lasts about 90 days.
Other people viewing your registry won't see that guest's shower link.
Who appears as the host on the invitation?
The host name on your invitation is guest-facing information. It's separate from shower host access, which determines who can manage your shower on Babylist.
If you leave the host field empty, a host name won't appear to guests.
For information about giving someone permission to manage your shower, see What is a shower host?
Can I make my shower private?
You can't currently restrict the shower page so that only specific invited guests can open it.
Anyone with the shower link can view the shower and RSVP. Share the link directly with the people you're inviting if you don't want it distributed more widely.
Will my home address appear?
Your registry shipping address doesn't appear on your shower page.
If your home is the shower location, the address you enter as the event location will be visible to anyone who opens your shower link.
What if someone I didn't invite RSVPs?
Someone may be able to RSVP if another guest forwards your shower link.
A shower host can remove that person from the guest list.
