How do I add and share a shower event?

Create a shower event in the Babylist app to share event details, collect RSVPs, and keep track of your guest list in one place.

Currently, shower event creation and management are available in the Babylist app on iOS and Android.

Create a shower event

Registrants, partners, and collaborators can create a shower event.

1. Open the Babylist app.
2. Tap the Add shower tile at the top of your Home page.
   • Or, under For You, look for Add your shower date.
3. Enter your shower date.
4. Tap Create invite.
5. Enter your event details:
   • Time
   • Location
   • A short message to your guests
   • Event theme
6. Edit your RSVP settings.
7. Select a background image.
8. Tap Save.

Your event will be added to your registry and ready to share.

Customize RSVP settings

When creating or editing an event, you can customize how guests respond.

You can:

• Allow guests to select Maybe
• Set the maximum number of additional guests (+1s) each guest can bring

Share your shower event

After creating an event, you can share an event link with guests.

1. Open the Babylist app.
2. Under For You, select your event.
3. Tap Invite guests.
4. Choose how you'd like to share the event link.
5. Send the link to your guests.

Guests can use the event link to view event details and submit an RSVP.

You can also copy the event link and share it through text message, email, social media, or any other method you prefer.

Manage your guest list

Open your event at any time to view RSVP activity and guest details.

You can:

• See RSVP counts
• View all guest responses
• Review guest contact information
• View guest details individually

Frequently asked questions

I already added a shower date. Can I still create a shower event?

Yes. If your registry already has a shower date, you can still create a shower event.

Go to your showers list screen and look for the Create invite button to start creating your event.

Can I create more than one event?

Yes. You can create as many events as you'd like.

Can someone who doesn't use Babylist host an event?

No. To create or manage an event, the host must have a Babylist account.

Can I indicate whether an attendee is a child or an adult?

No. Shower events don't currently support attendee age designations.

Can I send digital invitations?

Yes. Share your event link through email, text message, social media, or another preferred method.

Can I create events other than baby showers?

Not at this time. Event creation is currently available only for registries and is designed for baby showers.
