How do I deactivate my registry?

Depending on what you need, you can create a new registry, delete an existing registry, or deactivate your Babylist account. Review the options below to decide which one is right for you.

Start a new registry instead

If you want to keep your account but create a different registry, on the web, go to Settings and select New Registry. This creates a new registry without deactivating your account.

Delete a registry you no longer want

If you want to remove a specific registry but keep your account, you can manage your lists by clicking Edit or Delete under the registry you no longer want. Deleting a registry removes that list but does not deactivate your Babylist account.

Deactivate your Babylist account

Deactivating your account removes public access to your registry and stops emails and notifications.

On the web:

1. Click your name in the top-right corner of your registry
2. Select Settings
3. Select Account info
4. Check Deactivate account
5. Confirm the action

In the app:

Depending on your device or app version, you may see one of these options:

1. Tap the Account icon in the upper-left corner of the app.
2. Select Account details
3. Tap Delete account
4. Confirm the action

Or

1. Tap the Menu icon in the upper-left corner of the app.
2. Select Account
3. Tap Delete account
4. Confirm the action

Deactivation happens immediately. After deactivation, your registry link will no longer be publicly accessible.
