If you've already built a registry at another store, you can bring it to Babylist in one of two ways: by transferring or by linking.
Choosing what’s best for you
If you want everything in one place with automatic updates, transfer a registry.
If you want to keep other store perks and manage each registry separately, link a registry.
If you still need help deciding or run into issues, chat with our support team.
Transfer a registry
Transferring your registry is best if you want to manage everything in one place.
- All qualifying items from your other registry will appear individually on your Babylist registry.
- Each item may include multiple retailer offers so friends and family can choose where to buy.
- You can opt out of multiple retailer offers in Registry Info > Registry preferences.
Things to know about transferring:
- Only qualifying items transfer to Babylist. This excludes store gift cards, group gifts, exclusives, and items out of stock at the time of transfer.
- Transfer your store registry only once. If you transfer it again, Babylist will add the same items a second time.
Link a registry
Linking your registry keeps each store’s registry separate but lets you share a single list with friends and family.
- Friends and family will see your store registries as links on your Babylist page.
- When they click a link, they’ll be directed to that store’s website to make a purchase.
Things to know about linking:
Linked registries don’t sync with Babylist, so avoid adding the same item to more than one registry to prevent duplicates.
