Marking a gift as purchased lets the registrant know the item has been bought and helps prevent duplicates. You can also choose to keep your gift a surprise—learn how here.
Before you begin
If you purchased an item from the Babylist Shop, it will automatically be marked as purchased on the registry. If you need to manually mark a gift as purchased—or bought your gift from another store—follow the directions below.
How to mark a gift as purchased
Follow these steps to record your purchase from another store:
- Find the item you bought on the Babylist registry.
- Select I purchased this under the item. A pop-up window will appear asking you to Record your purchase.
- Enter your name and email address. This is also where you can choose to keep your gift a surprise. Click Continue.
- On the next screen, enter where you bought the item. Click Other store to type in the store name.
- Once you enter the store name, a field to add your order number will appear. If you don’t have it, select I don’t know my order number.
- Click Record purchase to save your gift details.
- After recording, you’ll have the option to:
- Print a card with your gift details
- Add a gift message
- Enter your mailing address for a thank-you note (optional)
- Click Save when you’re finished.
