How do I organize my registry?

Once you’ve added items to your Babylist registry, keeping it organized helps Gift Givers easily browse and find what you need. You can arrange your registry however you like. You can group items by category, prioritize what appears first, or make some categories private.

Note: This article explains how to organize your registry layout. It doesn’t cover sorting items by price or filtering features.

Organize on desktop

You can easily reorder and manage your items from your registry page on desktop.

To reorder items:

1. From your Babylist registry page, click and hold an item.
2. Drag and drop it to where you want it to appear in your list.

To edit or add categories:

1. Select the pencil icon at the top of the Categories column on the left.
2. In the Edit Categories panel, you can:
   • Rename, add, or delete categories.
   • Drag and drop categories to reorder them.
   • Set a category to private by checking Set to Private, then clicking Save.

To move an item between categories:

1. Open the item by clicking the pencil icon.
2. Use the dropdown menu to choose a new category, or select the pencil icon next to it to edit or add a new one.

If drag-and-drop doesn’t work as expected, try refreshing your page or checking your browser version.

Organize on iOS

1. From the Babylist app, tap the Organize icon on the far right side of your registry.
2. Drag and drop categories into your preferred order.
3. Tap a category to view the items within it.
4. Slide a product to the left to move it, copy it to a different list, or delete it.

Organize on Android

1. In the Babylist app, go to Settings > Registry > Organize Registry.
2. From there, you can reorder categories and items.

Tips for keeping your registry organized

• Group items by purpose (for example: Nursery, Feeding, Clothing).
• Place higher-priority or time-sensitive items at the top of your list.
• Use private categories for personal items or items you’re still deciding on.
   

Mark items as “Most Wanted”

Highlighting an item as Most Wanted helps Gift Givers see what you’d love most. This label adds a small heart badge next to the item on your registry but no longer moves those items to a separate section or to the top of your list.

To mark an item as Most Wanted:

1. Open your registry and find the item.
2. Click or tap the heart icon next to the item name.
3. The item will display a Most Wanted badge on your public registry view.

You can mark or unmark items anytime.
