Privacy Setting Options:
Public
Turn this on to make your registry searchable right on the Babylist site.
- Flip the Google setting on, and we’ll help get your registry listed in Google search results too. That way, anyone can find your registry just by searching online!
- Heads up: it can take Google anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to index your registry.
- Changed your mind? You can always switch back to private. Just know it might take Google up to two weeks to fully remove your registry from search results.
Private
This is the setting we start you off with. Your registry won’t appear in Babylist’s “Find a Registry” search, and it won’t show up on Google. Only people who have your direct link can see it—so you’re in full control over who gets to peek.
Password
Want an extra layer of privacy? You can add a password to your registry, whether it’s public or private. Guests will need the password to access your list, so don’t forget to share it with them!
How to update your privacy settings:
From a computer:
To update your privacy settings, go to your Registry view and click Edit Details.
Click on the box with your current settings to make changes.
You can also find it in Settings>Visibility & Privacy.
From the app:
Tap on the Menu button in the upper left corner of your phone's screen. Go to Registry > Visibility & Privacy, select your preferred setting and hit Save.
