To start receiving gifts, you’ll need to link an existing 529 plan or 530A (Trump Account) or open a new one for your child's fund.
Link an existing investment account
- Open your child's fund.
- Select Link an investment account.
- Choose Link to an account.
- Review the security and privacy information.
- Select the type of investment account you want to link:
- 529 plan
- 530A (Trump Account)
- Select your plan.
- Enter and confirm your account number.
Before your account is linked
Friends and family can't give gifts until you've linked an investment account.
Until your account is linked:
- Friends and family can view your fund but won’t be able to give a gift
About your personal information
Babylist doesn't collect sensitive information during the account-linking process.
If your investment provider or the federal program requires additional information, you'll enter it on their secure website, not on Babylist.
