Add a cash fund to your registry so friends and family can contribute money toward something meaningful, like diapers, childcare, or future expenses.
Add a cash fund
On the web
- Go to your registry Home page
- Click Add items on the left panel
- Scroll down to Register for cash gifts and favors
- Click Cash funds
- Choose a template or click Create your own cash fund
- Click Add to Babylist
In the app
- Tap Add items at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the Babylist icon
- Scroll to Gift cards, favors, and cash funds
- Select Cash Funds
- Tap Add to Babylist
Edit or customize your cash fund
- Open the cash fund from your registry
- Click Edit details (pencil icon)
- Update the image, title, category, note, privacy, or payment preferences
- Click Save
Use the note field to explain what the fund is for or how you plan to use the contributions.
How cash fund contributions work
Cash fund contributions are sent through your selected payment method (Venmo or PayPal).
Babylist doesn’t process or track these payments. Friends and family can mark contributions on your registry so you can keep track.
Important tips
- You can’t set a required goal amount for a cash fund. Add a suggested amount in the note field if that’s helpful.
- Partners and collaborators can add cash funds in the app, but not on the web.
- Babylist doesn’t have visibility into payments made through Venmo or PayPal.
- Babylist isn’t affiliated with Venmo or PayPal. Contact those services directly if you have questions about fees, international transfers, or account issues.
